Few 80s movies are as memorable and iconic as Dirty Dancing, and for good reason. The movie did a great job of showcasing it’s actor’s amazing talents, with in dancing and acting. With it’s riveting storytelling, it was no wonder when it became a stepping stone for some of the finest stars in Hollywood—some of whom even ending up amassing an impressive net worth. What most people don’t know is that Dirty Dancing was as dramatic behind the scenes as the movie itself. So let’s lift up those curtains and take a look at what went down on set.
Teenage Mambo Queen
Eleanor Bergstein was recognized as a real “teenage mambo queen” back in the 50s. Thankfully, they kept the original title.
